Henry Schein Cares Foundation supports 14th Annual Henry Schein "Back to School" Program
September 2011 — This year, the Henry Schein Cares Foundation and Henry Schein are helping a record nearly 2,500 children in 16 U.S. and Canadian cities return to the classroom well dressed and well prepared. Now in its 14th year, Henry Schein’s “Back to School” program has benefitted more than 13,000 children in need from communities across North America.
The largest of the Company's "Back to School" events took place on September 1 at Henry Schein's headquarters in Melville, where 600 children identified by 10 local human service organizations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties participated. A wonderful time was had by all who participated in this terrific event. The “Back to School” picnic event featured dinner, games, music, bouncy castles, arts and crafts activities, and much more. Children beamed as they received their new outfits personally selected and paid for by Team Schein Members, and backpacks filled with school supplies, books and hygiene products.
Additional Henry Schein "Back to School" events include Denver, Pa.; Sparks, Nev.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Bastian, Va.; Indianapolis, Ind.; West Allis, Wis.; Grapevine, Texas; American Fork, Utah; Greenville, S.C.; Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; Calgary, Alberta; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Vancouver, British Columbia; and Concord, Ontario..
