Our Story and History

The Henry Schein Cares Foundation, Inc. was established in 2008 by Henry Schein, Inc., a company that fosters a rich culture of giving back to society and serving others. As a global public health advocate, the Henry Schein Cares Foundation catalyzes and engages all our stakeholders to foster, support, and promote the health care profession, including enhancing access to care for underserved and at-risk communities, globally in all health settings.

Vision and Mission

The Henry Schein Cares Foundation is a philanthropic vehicle for driving change toward building a healthier world. We do this with fellow stakeholders by supporting innovation, strengthening health care system resilience, expanding access to care for underserved communities, and by investing in the next generation of health care professionals.

Our Focus Areas

We support initiatives that promote integrated models, as we know that wellness and preventive health care are critical components to better health outcomes and good oral health is directly linked to overall health.
We are committed to supporting organizations that help health care professionals and community-based programs close the gap in access to care for vulnerable populations.
We seek to support diverse providers, leaders, and global public health experts to advance the quality and capacity of health care professionals, offering innovative solutions towards greater health equity.
When a natural, humanitarian, or public health crisis strikes, we activate a global network of partners to aid in response and relief efforts for communities in need, locally and globally, to build resilience.
